Irene Jeffery, 92 a long-time resident of Salinas, passed at her home in Stockton on Friday, July 16, 2010.
Irene was born in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, in 1918, was raised in Holyoke, Colorado, and married her husband, the late Judge James A. Jeffery, in Salinas in 1939 where she lived until 2000.
Irene lived a long and fulfilling life and leaves behind many who admire her generosity, optimism, and integrity.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Page of Sedona, Arizona, by her sons Douglas Jeffery and Bill Jeffery of Stockton, California, and by her ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
The family will host a celebration of Irene's life at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Struve & Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis Street, Salinas, CA 93901.
Irene will be buried in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Memorials contributions in memory of Irene should make them to a charity of your choice.
