Mittie Yop, 88 of Salinas and former longtime resident of Gonzales passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2010
She was born on December 23, 1921 in Rondo, AR
Mittie was a homemaker.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 81 in Gonzales, CA
Served in the Women's Army Air Corp during WW II.
Survived by her sons Danny (Linda) Yop and Norman (Thelma) Yop of Salinas, grandchildren Lori (Joel) Banez, Brent (Lisa) Yop and Ryan Yop, 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis St., Salinas, CA 93901
Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 23, 2010, at 11:00 am in the St. Theodore's Church, 116 Belden Street, Gonzales, CA 93926
Burial will follow in the Gonzales District Cemetery, Gonzales, CA
